About Studio Rizvi
Studio Rizvi is an art and design studio founded by Amina Rizvi,
an artist whose practice is shaped by both creative heritage and the study of urban planning.
My creativity is rooted in faith, memory, and cultural inheritance. I was raised in a family where creativity was encouraged and passed down, and that early exposure continues to inform how I approach creating slowly and intentionally. Islamic art has always held a central place in my practice; its intricate patterns, calligraphy, and compositions resonate deeply through their symbolism, timeless beauty, and spiritual depth. My work also draws from Mughal works and ornamental design, each piece is created with purpose; often using watercolor, gouache, gold leaf, and layered borders that invite stillness and reflection.
Alongside my artistic practice, I pursue Urban Planning which has influenced how I think about space, form, and the way people move through and experience environments. This dual lens shapes my work, encouraging balance, proportion, and intentional design.
I view art as both practice and offering, creating work meant to live gently within everyday spaces while holding meaning beyond the visual. Studio Rizvi exists as a space where art, faith, heritage, and thoughtful design come together.
